Stylish Wedding Favors
Every bride wants their wedding favors to delight their guests and to provide them with a memorable keepsake of the day. Your choice of favors should reflect your wedding style and your own style and personality, however even if you are having a casual, informal wedding your wedding favors can still be stylish and elegant offerings.
Wedding favors require a little creative thinking on your part. Whilst some will settle for a simple bag of candy hearts there are others who want something extra special and will trawl the favor stores looking for that perfect favor for months before the wedding!
If you are looking for elegant and stylish favors then here are a few ideas, which can be found in many favor stores:
- Bottle stoppers are available in a wide range of designs and can coordinate to many different wedding themes. Take some time to look over a variety of favor stores as some will stock designs which are exclusive to them or will have stoppers with unusual designs which you won’t find elsewhere.
- Bookmarks make for both stylish and practical wedding favors. I personally prefer the metal versions that most favor stores carry and, like the bottle stoppers come in a wide variety of designs to coordinate with many wedding styles.
- Trinket boxes make pretty favors but are not as common as other types of favor. Check out gift stores and online craft sites to find some unique designs. Silver plated boxes are probably the most stylish and will compliment any wedding.
- Bud vases are perhaps one for your female guests. These hark back to an era when ladies would have a single flower bud on their dressing tables and although we may not indulge in this any more, bud vases do make for a nice gift. Silver plated ones are the most elegant, but if these are out of your price range then look for cheaper silver colored metal versions or glass.
- Coin trays are the male versions of bud vases. Intended as a place for gentlemen to place their loose change or cufflinks etc at the end of the day. In essence they a small plates or shallow dishes. Whilst you are unlikely to find them in favor stores, gift stores may have a range which could include silver plated, glass or ceramic designs.
- Paperweights make for lovely gifts and are no exception for wedding favors either. Typical designs include crystal ‘diamonds’, diamond engagement rings and blown glass styles. If you have a glass blowing center near to you pay it a visit and see if they have any paperweights you could negotiate a price for. Even seconds could be worth considering as often these have nothing more wrong with them than a slight flaw in the design, which may only be known to the designer themselves!
